Introducing our brand new vegan tapas menu


It’s a new year and we’re making the idea of going plant-based with your diet even more tasty with our brand new vegan menu.


This has been the result of so much hard work — thank you to the team who has poured their heart and soul into creating these incredible dishes, to welcome everyone back to baresca and escabeche in 2022!


What’s new?


Anyone who has been to baresca or escabeche before will know our track record on veganism — bringing the first vegan tapas menu of its kind to Nottingham city centre and constantly improving the selection available.


So, what makes this one so special? Our previous menus have been a range of vegan specific dishes, but a lot of you have been asking us about meat-free versions of our baresca classics.


Doing this takes time, as we don’t want to just switch out the meat for the first meat alternative we can find. We wanted to do it right. Our talented kitchen staff have worked hard to create a series of vegan fan favourites including spiced beetroot falafel tacos and vegan meatballs, while introducing new creations like the maple glazed butternut squash.


Sounds good! When will the menu be introduced?


Good question with an even better answer: right now! Our entire vegan menu takes strong influences from Barcelona and beyond.


Whether you’re joining us for lunch with our revamped vegan menú del día or for an evening tapas feast from our main menu, we’ve got you covered with carefully crafted and delicious dishes.
